FAQs- What's a Preset Salad?

7:45 AM

I'm often asked by clients "what's a pre-set salad?" It's a salad that is placed at each place setting prior to guests' arrival. It's often used at very large events. There are several pros and cons that you can discuss with your caterer to decide if this is a feasible option for you.

- A pre-set salad saves time at the reception. Your guests can arrive and after the blessing begin eating.
-If you're having a buffet, a pre-set salad looks better on the table than on the buffet. In general, pre-set salads look great on the tables. They provide an elegant feel.
- You don't necessarily need to use chargers, which can save you money in rental fees.
- The salads won't be super cold.
- There is not a variety of choices of salads or salad dressings.
