I love it when couples infuse their personalities into their wedding details. The couple featured today adores baseball and the food at their wedding reflected that love.
Heather Balliet, of Amorology Weddings provides the details of this 2009 baseball themed wedding.
While playing college baseball and softball, Josh and Nicole met and fell in love. In their spare time they would travel to new cities, making it a point to visit different ballparks. It seemed only fitting that we shared their love and passion for what brought them together with their guests at their wedding.
Candy Concession workers tray passed traditional ballpark favorites like peanuts and crackerjacks with custom designed labels by Brightly Designed. We also filled the custom trays that Amorology created with chocolate baseballs, color-coordinated jelly beans and big league chew that were reminiscent of childhood favorites.
For their favors, we combined the grooms love for morning pancakes with their love for baseball. We gave each guest buttermilk pancake mix with a recipe in a box labeled “hey batter, batter”.
As a late-night treat, Nicole and Josh wanted their family and friends to build their own ice cream sundaes! Brightly designed created a “Bases Loaded” sign for us that listed all of the scrumptious ice cream toppings! Between the cake, concession trays filled with goodies and the loaded ice cream station, there was no shortage of delicious and playful treats!
